2011 Cadillac CTS-V – Overdrive Crank Pulley + Intake and Tuning – Part I

Welcome to our blog. Here we post pictures and videos of cars we are working on for everyone to enjoy. Today we are working on a brand new Cadillac CTS-V Coupe. We are installing an Innovators West crank pulley along with a Metco 9.55″ pulley to increase the boost approx. 4-5psi. Along with the pulley this bad boy is getting a D3 Motorsports Intake along with a custom tune. We started out by removing all the engine covers and moving some transmission lines that are in the way. With that done, the fan assembly can be removed to get enough room around the crank pulley. Once the factory crank pulley/dampener is off, we set them side by side. A noticeable weight difference between the two should free up some horsepower by itself. Once the new crank pulley is pressed on, the Metco outer can be installed along with a smaller idler pulley and belt. With the pulley ready to go it was time to move on to the intake. Once the factory intake is removed, the new one can be installed and adjusted to get the fitment we want. Now this thing is ready for the dyno!
