1994 Mustang GT Gear Install: Part 2 completed

Well upon further inspection there were some heavy scoring on the bearings. So we opted for the Ford Racing 8.8 Rebuild kit that comes with all new hardware, bearings, seals, pinion nut, and shims. The traction lock actually looked pretty good. As you seen in the pictures, it got all new bearings and seals. The axles looked good so we didn’t need to use axle savers. As you can see with the right tools including a dial and marking compound we know that the gears are set up correctly. This will be a great performance gain over the 2.73s that came out of it! Check back tomorrow for when the subframe connectors get installed!

  1. Greg – The throttle response is greatly improved and the “seat in the pants” feel is great. Thanks for the awesome work.
