2004 Ford F150 5.4L – Shorty Header Install – Completed

Welcome back! Today we got a beautiful red F150 in the shop for some JBA shorty headers. Those of you who don’t know, these are some of the toughest headers to do. The passenger side has very limited room to work, but it’s no problem for us! First we start off by removing the front wheels to get access to the headers. Once that’s done the y-pipe can be removed and the headers can be accessed. After removing the factory manifold, its time to clean the head and trim some of the studs down to clear the header. With that done, the new header can be fan-angled in and torqued to spec. The same process is applied to the driver’s side which luckily isn’t as  difficult. With the new headers in the y-pipe can go back in along with the tires mounted. Now the truck is ready for some fun! Be sure to check back soon for my installs!
