2006 Dodge Charger SRT-8 – Complete Pedders Bushing Install – Completed

Welcome to our blog. Over the course of the last few days we’ve had the pleasure of working on this black beast. To make this thing handle even better we are installing the Pedders LX Full Repair Kit. This kit replaces all the factory rubber bushings in the suspension with Performance Polyurethane. This is no easy task to install and requires a Veteran Performance Technician. After laying out all the bushings we can see what’s ahead. We started in the rear by removing the whole IRS assembly. With that removed the center section and axles were taken off the subframe. With that done it was time to start working on the bushing. After removing all the arms on each side we could work on pressing out and pressing in the new bushings on the subframe. With those installed it was time to work on all the control arms and toe arms. After pressing out all the bushings the new ones can be installed. With all the new bushings installed we can start reassembling the IRS. With that done the whole assembly can be reinstalled in the car and the exhaust put back in. Moving onto the front the rack bushings and radius rod bushings get replaced along with the lower control arm bushings. With those out the bushings can be replaced and reinstalled. With the car back together it’s time for alignment with the new adjustable bushings and then it’s ready for the track! Be sure to check back soon for more installs including a 2011 Camaro getting springs, sways, exhaust, intake, shifter, 4.10 gears, and skip shift!

  1. Greg, Wes and the whole RPMM crew made this a great experience. Their customer service, knowledge, and shop are top notch. Pedders is extremely picky when it comes to finding performance shops that they trust to install their suspension parts. I now get it! The car handles brilliantly. Thanks RPMM!!
