2006 Chrysler 300 SRT8 – Pedders bushings kits, Bump Steer Kit, and Adjustable Upper Control Arms
Welcome back to our blog. As I mentioned in our previous one we have a beautiful Silver SRT8 Chrysler 300. We are installing Pedders front control arm bushings, a bumper steer kit, adjustable upper control arms, and rack and pinion bushings. We started off by installing the adjustable upper control arms. With the stock ones out of the car the new ones were installed. With that done the radius rods are next. Once removed from the car, the factory ones can be pressed out and the new ones pressed in. With that done the rack can be unbolted and the factory rack bushing pressed out. With the factory ones out the new ones are installed in the correct position to help reduce bump steer even more. With the rack bushings done we could move on to the bump steer kit. The factory tie rod end is removed and the bump steer kit threaded on. With it one, we can then adjust it to ride parallel to the control arm. By doing this, it helps prevent the car following the road or turning the wheel going over pot holes or bumps. With the bump steer done it’s time to go enjoy! Be sure to check back soon for more installs including a full bushing and coil over and sway bar upgrade on a GTO!
